Jelinek Cork Group/The Cork House Invites you To The Official Ceremony Recognizing The Cork House

As the Oldest Building in Halton Region

Jelinek Cork Group / Cork House cordially invites you to come and celebrate the official plaguing of the Cork House. The plaque recognizes the house as the oldest designated building in Halton Region. It was erected in 1816 by Amos Bigger, a United Empire Loyalist. 

Please join us, the Mayor of Oakville, and other friends and colleagues for the official unveiling of the plaque. Come and raise a glass of cheer and enjoy other light refreshments.

Time and day: 4:00 p.m., Thursday, September 14, 2006
Official plaquing ceremony:  4:15 p.m.

Place:           Cork House
                    2441 Neyagawa Blvd. (corner of Dundas and Neyagawa)
                    Oakville

Jelinek Cork is proud to have restored and preserved Cork House.  Jelinek Cork itself was founded in 1855 and ties the traditions of our old company to the history of the Cork House. Today it serves as a museum, factory outlet, and product showroom all wrapped in one.
