News & Articles Jelinek Cork Group / Cork House cordially invites you to come and celebrate the official plaguing of the Cork House. The plaque recognizes the house as the oldest designated building in Halton Region. It was erected in 1816 by Amos Bigger, a United Empire Loyalist. Please join us, the Mayor of Oakville, and other friends and colleagues for the official unveiling of the plaque. Come and raise a glass of cheer and enjoy other light refreshments.
